Jones could face Fulham

David Moyes says Evans and Fellaini are not fit enough to face Fulham on Sunday, although Phil Jones might return in the Old Trafford fixture.

Evans sustained a calf injury during the 2-1 defeat at Stoke City, where Jones also suffered from concussion following a collision with Jonathan Walters. Fellaini, meanwhile, has not played since 4 December after undergoing surgery to aid a wrist injury.

During a press conference at the Aon Training Complex on Friday, the boss provided an update on all three players ahead of facing Rene Meulensteen’s Fulham at the weekend.

“Marouane picked up a groin injury in training which will probably rule him out for another week possibly,” Moyes told reports. “His wrist injury is much improved, but he just felt his groin after training one day this week. We’ll keep an eye on him for a few days.

“Jonny Evans isn't available but there is a good chance Jones could make it. He has trained today and we’ll see how he is.”
