Inter Milan are reportedly looking to lure Nani away from Manchester United on loan until the end of the season.
Nani
signed a new five-year contract with United last September, but he has
been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for some time, with
Juventus previously showing interest in the Portugal international.
But according to Tuttomercatoweb,
Inter officials were on Wednesday negotiating with United about a loan
deal with a view to the 27-year-old moving to the Serie A club on a
permanent basis at the end of the season.
United
manager David Moyes has already indicated that there will be an
overhaul of the club's playing squad in the summer, but it is believed
that Nani could be allowed to leave this month.
Moyes
has allowed Anderson and Wilfried Zaha to leave the club on loan, while
Fabio is set to complete a permanent move to Cardiff City.
A
number of senior players including Nani have been linked with
departures from the club, and Moyes admits there is a need to act after a
poor first half to his first season in charge of the Red Devils.
"I am not going to accept it," he said.
"I am disappointed we are not in a much stronger position. I am disappointed with how we have played.
"I,
ultimately, take the rap for that. But what I will do is make it right.
I am going to get better players in. Unfortunately I don't think there
will be more in January. But it will change.
"I
have given every player the opportunity to play and show what they can
do. We have had a pretty good chance to have a look at it.
"The players have to perform. If they want to be here and making sure they have a jersey, they have to show it in the games.
"Undoubtedly
this club wants to be at the top. We want to be challenging. At this
moment in time we have failed to do that. We want to do something about
it."
