Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has told Chelsea and Manchester United that the south coast club have "no intention" of selling defender Luke Shaw this week.
Reports last week had suggested United were looking to swoop for Shaw before the transfer window closes on Friday night, while Chelsea are long-term admirers of the left-back.
Southampton are keen to keep hold of the teenager until at least the end of the season, but it is believed United are ready to meet the club's £25million valuation.
However, Pochettino was resolute on Monday, telling reporters: "Southampton have no interest in selling Luke, not at this moment or in the summer.
"We have no intention of selling."
The transfer window closes on Friday at 23:00 GMT.
